Social media for real people
   and real organizations.

Social media has forever changed the way we communicate. It has opened doors to engage people in a totally new way and reach demographics previously unattainable with dwindling staff, budgets, and resources.

My name is Laurie Boettcher. With years of design and communication experience, I teach, speak, post, and tweet about social media. I work primarily with municipalities, government agencies, higher education, public libraries, and groups/ associations because I believe the organizations pave the way in educating our communities, our workforce, and our future generations. I'm fascinated by the use of social media in emergency management and crisis communication, so also dabble there.

A frequent speaker at workshops, conferences, and private events throughout the US and Canada, I have been featured in US News & World Report, the New York Times, and numerous other media. My approach is practical and realistic - if you don't understand it and are overwhelmed, you will get frustrated and not use it. I want people to 'get' how it applies to them and their businesses.

So, what would you like to do now?

I do not offer training or consulting services.
